Martinez lauds Conte over Moses’ transformation

Belgium coach, Roberto Martinez, has heaped praises on Chelsea Football Club boss, Antonio Conte, for getting the best out of Super Eagles’ star, Victor Moses.

The Nigerian may be on parade against Burnley this weekend in an English Premier League tie. Moses has become an integral part of the Blues’ success story this season, starting 18 Premier League games at the right wing-back. This comes after he failed to make an impact in early years at Chelsea, as he was sent on loan to Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham. However, Martinez, who managed Moses at Wigan, has praised Conte for finding a system that suits the 26-year-old. He said, “He’s found what system suit Moses, a player who I’ve seen could play a lot. When he runs with the ball, his technical ability is world class. When he gets into the final third, his decision-making is not as clean as other players, but I think he’s suiting this system. “Moses has got the stamina to do the job, which is very difficult to find in a quality player. When Moses moved to Chelsea, he could grow into the player he’s showing now. It’s been a long journey – four or five years – but now it’s coming.” Since scoring the winner against Tottenham in November 2016, Victor Moses has gone two months without a goal for Chelsea.
