‘Mentally,’ a movie about average Nigerian  – Director, James Abinibi

The Director and Producer of a new movie, ‘Mentally,’ James Abini, has described it as a mirror on the life of an average Nigerian.

He told The Point that the movie, which was premiered at the Genesis Cinemas, The Palms Mall, Lekki, Lagos, took a cursory look into the life of an average Nigerian, who in the quest for survival, decided to embark on a journey with little knowledge of the new environment.

The producer of ‘A Great Day’ and ‘Honourable’ added, “It best explains the quest for greener pastures by young Nigerians in a bid to survive in the usually demanding world we live in.”

Shot in Lagos and Ogun states, ‘Mentally’ tells the tales of Akin, a university graduate, who in the quest to eke out a living, embarked on a journey to Lagos. Despite his mother’s advice, Akin relocated to Lagos.

‘Mentally,’ which is due for cinema release on September 29, is a comedy, drama and adventure film. It also has a bit of satire that will thrill Nigerians, as it is relatable and connects with the audience.
