Mimisola Daniel rues Nigerians’ perception of actresses

Fast-rising actress, Mimisola Daniel, seems not to be in a happy mood these days. Reason: the thespian is taking exception to the notion some people have about actresses as prostitutes and wayward.

The Economics graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University says a lot of people still don’t see acting as a normal and legitimate profession.

Daniel, who is one of the most sought-after actresses in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood, says, “Many people in Nigeria stereotype actresses as prostitutes and again a lot of people look down on actors, mostly due to the belief that it is not a legitimate profession.”

The delectable role interpreter, who has starred in movies like ‘Ewu’, ‘Ijaya’, ‘Mother’s Wish’ and others, also restates her stance on sex as an integral part of any relationship.

“Sex is an integral part of a relationship or marriage, hence my stand on whether I’ll cheat or not. I wouldn’t marry someone who isn’t sexually fit in bed,” she says.
