Minister lauds Peak Milk on renovated stadium gym

The Minister of Youths and Sport Development, Mr. Solomon Dalung, has commended Peak Milk, a dairy firm, for renovating the Paralympians’ power-lifting gym in Lagos.

He said, “The newly renovated gym, which is now of world-class standard, will further inspire athletes, especially our para-powerlifting team, to continue to push the limits of excellence by winning more laurels for Nigeria.”

The Managing Director, FrieslandCampina WAMCO, makers of Peak Milk, Mr. Ben Langat, said that the brand took up the challenge to renovate the stadium, as it strove to use the story of the paralympians to inspire and motivate other Nigerians across all walks of life.

“We were inspired by the achievement of the paralympians, whose willpower, drive and self-motivation to win against all odds have seen them shine despite the obsolete and non-functional gym equipment and facilities they had used in the past.

“They have shown us all that regardless of whatever challenges we face, with determination, we can always reach our peak,” Langat said.

Langat then charged the para-powerlifting team, which is currently ranked No. 1 in the world, to make good use of the newly installed world-class gym equipment and continuously make the country proud through several record-breaking achievements.
