Native doctor arrested for luring housewife to bed

39-year-old housewife, Mrs. Maria Okolie of Asaba in Delta State, has run into trouble for allegedly getting into an illicit affair with a native doctor while seeking a lasting solution to her husband’s alleged sexual escapades.
Our correspondent gathered that in the course of looking for spiritual powers that could stop her husband from having affairs with other women, the mother of two consulted a native doctor in Ugbolu, who allegedly gave her a love potion that made her go into illicit sexual relations with him.
The ordeal of the housewife was said to have been caused by her friends, who allegedly earlier told her about her husband’s amorous relationship with other women in the area.
It was gathered that the housewife had become impatient when she could not get reports confirming her husband’s alleged escapade with other women from the “detectives” she had allegedly hired to trail him.
She was said to have then taken the advice by her friends and consulted the native doctor who eventually rather charmed her into having illicit affairs with him.
Our correspondent gathered that Okolie, who was ignorant of the native doctor’s alleged plan, had taken her bath with some fetish soap given to her by the man and afterwards found herself having an affair with him.
Upon discovering the amorous relationship between the mother of two and the native doctor, her friends who gave her the advice that led to the development, immediately informed her husband.
The husband was said to have descended on his wife, beating her until she allegedly confessed that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with the native doctor.
Policemen from Ugbolu/Allah Division later arrested and detained the native doctor.
Efforts by our correspondent to confirm the incident was not successful as the police in the area declined to comment.
A police source who pleaded anonymity, however, said that the native doctor was still being held for offences related to issues that had to do with his dealings with some other housewives in Asaba and its environs.
