NECO reschedules common entrance due to low registration

BY FESTUS OKOROMADU

The National Examination Council on Wednesday announced the extension of the date for the 2023 National Common Entrance Examinations to Saturday June 3.

NECO’s spokesman Azeez Sani, in a statement attributed the decision to the low registration of candidates for the examination earlier scheduled to commence on Saturday April 29.

Sani said the extension would offer interested parents, guardians and candidates the opportunity to register and participate in the examination which admits students into the Federal Unity Colleges across the country.

The statement reads in part: “The Examination was rescheduled to give States with low registration of candidates the opportunity to register their candidates for the examination.

“All candidates, parents, guardians, schools and relevant stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new date for the examination.

“The registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the examination.”
