Ondo State governor, Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has assigned portfolios to the new 18 commissioners and 10 special advisers he inaugurated on Wednesday.
Akeredolu, while speaking at a brief meeting with the commissioners at the Council Chambers in the Governor’s Office, enjoined them to always consider the interest of the people in their respective ministries.
The governor disappointed supporters of the new appointees after their inauguration on Wednesday when he failed to announce the portfolios of the new commissioners and special advisers.
Former speaker of the State House of Assembly, Taofiq Abdulsalam, was given Ministry of Works & Infrastructure; Rasheed Badmus, Ministry of Natural Resources; Solagbade Amodeni, Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development; Adegboyega Adefarati, Ministry of Agriculture and Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, Ministry of Youth & Sports Development.
Others are Omowumi Olatunji-Edet, Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development; Donald Ojogo, Ministry of Lands & Housing; Yemi Olowolabi, Ministry of Information & Orientation; Wahab Adegbenro, Ministry of Health and Funso Esan, Ministry of Environment.
We also have Wale Akinterinwa, Ministry of Finance; Emmanuel Igbasan, Ministry of Economic Planning & Budget; Olurimisi Ismaila: Ministry of Culture & Tourism; Femi Agagu, Ministry of Education, Science & Technology; Bayonile Ademodi, Ministry of Regional Integration & Special Duties; Lola Fagbemi, Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs; Timilehin Adelegbe, Ministry of Commerce, Industries & Cooperatives and Kola Olawoye, Ministry of Justice.
