Nigeria @ 57: Dana Air beats Med-View in novelty match

Dana Air Football Club has defeated Med-View Airline football team, in a charity match to mark Nigeria’s 57 independence anniversary.

In the match, Dana’s top striker opened the goal record with an astonishing free-kick, which went pass the Medview goalkeeper, at exact 21 minutes into the match.

Med-View, in what looked like a quick response, drew the goal level when the captain of the side headed in a corner kick from his right winger.

At about five minutes into the end of the first half of the match, Dana Airline took the lead again, with a penalty kick from a foul play, inside the penalty yard.

Med-View Airline’s goalkeeper could not save the day as the penalty kick beat his imagination.

Meanwhile, the match ended 2-1 in favour of Dana Air as Med-view found it difficult to come back into the match in the second half.

Speaking after the charity match, Chief Operation Officer, Dana Air, Mr. Obi Mbanuzuo, said the match was organised to mark Nigeria’s 57th independence anniversary and also show part of the social responsibility  of the airline to the society.

“As we all know that sport means a lot to us in this country, we decided to celebrate the independence this way and also show little of our social responsibility roles.
