NSCDC arrests four men for raping two girls multiple times in Osun

The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, has apprehended four men for allegedly raping two young girls.

The suspects, paraded at the NSCDC headquarters in Osogbo on Thursday, were said to have committed the offence on December 3, 2023 in Iwo, Osun State.

Parading the suspects identified as Sadiq Opeyemi, aged 30, Afeez Olalekan, 26, Ismail Ibrahim, 30 and Abdulahi Garba, 33, the Commandant of the corps, Igbalawole Sotiyo, said the defiled girls were lured with the sum of N500.

Sotiyo said the suspects serially abused the girls, aged 12 and 13 years, sexually, adding that the suspects confessed to the crime.

He said the victims were living with their grandparents and according to the girls, they were not well taken care of, which made them to take to street begging in order to fend for themselves.

The NSCDC boss assured the public that the perpetrators would face full wrath of the law to deter others with similar intentions.
