A group of international hackers, Anonymous, said to be supporting #EndSARS protesters, claims it has hacked the website of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The group had also claimed it was responsible, at various times, for bringing down the websites of government agencies, including the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The CBN, however, refuted the report, saying its website was well secured and had not been hacked.

“We have HACKED into the complete admin panel of the Nigerian Stock Exchange website! We decided to leave a message this time. We will be leaking more from this website later. Expect us, #OpNigeria #EndSARS,” Anonymous had tweeted.

But some stock brokers have said the report cannot be true.

“I am on the Nigerian Stock Exchange network as it is now. I have not seen anything that suggests this. I am currently trading. And if anything like that happened, we would have been alerted,” 2nd Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Ropo Dada, told The Point.
