Ogun APC suspends former Deputy Speaker, Kadiri, over alleged anti-party activities

The former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oludare Kadiri, has been suspended by the All Progressives Congress with immediate effect.

Kadiri popularly called Maba, was suspended on Saturday by the leadership of Ward 11 in Ifelodun constituency, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state and the suspension was affirmed by the Ward Congress on Sunday.

“After the report submitted by the disciplinary committee that investigated the anti-party activities of Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri (MABA), a former deputy Speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly representing Ifelodun constituency, Ijebu North Local Government, Ogun State to the Ward Exco, the issue was extensively discussed.

Among the allegations leveled against him are listed below;

That Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri (Maba) has been fraternizing with the opposition party. On 21st of August 2022, Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri invited Hon. Ladi Adebutu, a PDP gubernatorial candidate and some other party leaders of PDP to his residence at Ago Iwoye. At the said political meeting, the following utterances were made by Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri (Maba), that he would never work for the reelection bid of His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun. That at this junction, the party does not matter and that he would work for his host, Ladi Adebutu, a PDP gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general election. Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri equally instructed his supporters to defect to other political parties.”
All these allegations were considered as anti-party activities which are capable of pulling the party down.

Conclusively, the nineteen out of the twenty seven Exco members unanimously agreed and voted for the indefinite suspension of Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri (Maba) from ward 11 APC.

“The suspension of Oluwadare Kadiri has been ratified and affirmed by the General Assembly of Ward 11 today the 4th September, 2022,” it concluded.
