Ogun PDP flays APC for extending Oyegun’s tenure

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State has berated the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress for extending the tenure of the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee by a year.

The NEC of the ruling APC, recently at a meeting in Abuja, extended the tenure of Odigie-Oyegun and other executives to unite party members ahead of the 2019 elections.

But the Publicity Secretary, PDP, in Ogun State, Mr. Bolaji Adeniji, who faulted the extension of Oyegun’s tenure, described the decision as illegal, saying that APC was an anti-democratic party that had failed Nigerians.

Adeniji said that the APC-led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had failed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians, especially with regard to security, the economy and anti-corruption fight.
