Okowa’s govt confused, uncoordinated, says Delta APC

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has lambasted the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, saying that his government is “confused and uncoordinated.”
The Chairman, APC, Delta, Prophet Jones Erue, who made this accusation, said the Okowa-led administration had underdeveloped the state in all sectors.
Erueh, therefore, challenged the leadership of the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the state to a television debate over the state of infrastructure in Delta.
According to Erue, the PDP state Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, was only ranting about PDP winning the forthcoming local government council election in the state because of the governor’s performance.
The APC has always been taunted as a ‘paper tiger’ in the state as political pundits say the party lacks the political structure to win any election in Delta State.
But Erue said that Delta State was already on its way to becoming an APC-controlled state, adding that because of the dismal performance of PDP in the state, the people were ready to kick them out come 2019.
He called on Deltans to vote out the PDP to save them and their unborn children, adding that the PDP-led government had mismanaged the common patrimony of the people for too long.
Erue stressed that the Okowa-led administration had been owing teachers, council workers and pensioners salaries and other entitlements.
He added that the deplorable condition of the network of roads in the state and the non-payment of workers’ salaries were all that Okowa government had to show to the people.
“Tell a neighbour, show me a teacher or a council worker in the state and I will tell you how many months’ salaries he or she is owed and/or show me a road and I will tell you how Your Excellent Excellency, Gov Okowa and the PDP underdeveloped the state in all sectors,” he said.
He, therefore, urged Deltans to be prepared to dethrone “a very confused and uncoordinated government” of the PDP, pointing out that a vote against PDP would be a vote for progress.
“On the ranting of the PDP state chairman, I Prophet Jones Ode Erue, APC chairman, Delta State, challenge him to a public debate on a national TV. No notice from him. He can even wake me from sleep,” he added.
