3SC FC of Ibadan Chairman, Hon Babatunde Olaniyan has expressed appreciation and apologized to the fans and stakeholders of the club in his end of season message.

“On behalf of the management, technical crew, players and staff of this great club, I wish to, with thanks to the Almighty God, use this medium to express our sincere appreciation to our teeming backers for your support during our campaign in the 2024/25 NPFL season.

“Let me start by saying a big thank you to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde for his all round support to the team.

“We are also grateful to all government functionaries, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Oyo State Sports Council, the Oyo State Football Association, Referees’ and Coaches’ association, as well as all other relevant stakeholders,” he began.

“We cannot but also appreciate the members of the fourth estate of the rhelm, the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State chapter, for their constructive crticism and suggestions.

“To our uniformed Supporters Club, other supporters and fans’ across the globe, we are very grateful for your understanding and unwavering support through the thick and thin.

“However, it will be pertinent to at this juncture, to tender our unreserved apology to you all for our inability to deliver at least a ticket to the continent which we promised before the start of the season.

“We are deeply sorry for letting you down having raised your expectations at a point in time during the season.

“For us, it is a season we will like to forget in a hurry. We particularly regret the fact that we were on the right path to achieving our goal, particularly in the first round which we ended on the second position on the log, only to see the tide change negatively after the break.

“As much as we tried to get back on track, sadly, we could only finish on the eight position at the end of the race, which to us as a management, is unacceptable because it amounts to disappointing our ever supportive teeming backers.

“As a management, we are not giving any excuses, but we will take time to take stock, ultimately to find out what went wrong and where we got it wrong, with a view to using it as a lesson and a guide to prepare us for a rewarding campaign next season.

“Let me also state that we regret the incident which occurred after our home game against Ikorodu City, which led to the closure of the stadium to our fans. We will intensify efforts to guard against a repeat of such ugly incident in the future.

“With the 2024/25 season gone, our plan is to start preparation for the 2025/26 season in earnest and we are banking on your support in all ramifications, to ensure we have a successful 2025/26 season.

“Together we will rise to face the challenges of the upcoming season with renewed vigour, commitment and hope, without allowing the disappointment of this season to weigh us down. We are the Oluyole Warriors,” he concluded.
