Over 15, 000 voters’ cards unclaimed in Bauchi – REC

Over 15, 000 voters’ cards have not been claimed at the Bauchi State office of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
This was disclosed by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi,  during a courtesy call on Governor Mohammed Abubakar, at Government House, Bauchi.
Abdullahi said the unclaimed voters’ cards were for the first phase of voter registration early this year, adding that the second phase was still ongoing.
He said during the first phase, over 35, 000 voters registered in  the state, out of which 15,000 had yet to collect their cards.
