The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has been honoured as the Outstanding Agency of the Year 2021 in the state by Silverstones Communication, organizers of the Miss Oyo Beauty Pageant.
The organizers said that the award was in recognition of the agency’s “immense contribution to the education sector in Oyo State” for the year 2021.
The award was presented to the Executive Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, on Tuesday, in Ibadan.
While receiving the award on behalf of the Board, Adeniran thanked the organizers for the honour with a promise that the Board would not
renege on its efforts on project execution, training and retraining of teachers.
Adeniran said that the board would always up the scale in the basic education sub-sector, adding that it would also not hesitate to instill basic moral values in children.
He lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for giving the Board the enabling environment to add value to lives of children of school age across the state.
