A devastating incident has left the Eche Ezama community in Ibagwa Aka, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, in profound sorrow following the alleged murder of four siblings by a local clergyman.

The victims—Kamsiyochukwu Ezema (7), Ezinne Ezema (6), Ujunwa Ezema (5), and Chinedu Ezema (2)—were reportedly attacked with a pestle inside their home.

The suspect, identified as a pastor from a nearby Sabbath church, is currently detained at the Ibagwa Aka Divisional Police Station.

‎Reports indicate that the children were alone at home when the assailant allegedly climbed over the fence and carried out the brutal act.

A family member disclosed that the pastor used a pestle to kill the siblings, though the exact reason behind the attack remains unknown.

The parents of the deceased, Chinonso and Loveth Ezema, were away when the tragedy occurred and have since called for a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.

The father emphasised that their residence shares a boundary with the church where the suspect ministers.

‎Authorities at the Ibagwa Aka police station have confirmed the incident, stating that an official report has been filed and investigations are in progress.

A police representative, speaking on condition of anonymity, urged the public to remain calm while law enforcement works to uncover the full details of the case.

The community remains in shock as they grapple with the unimaginable loss of four young lives in such horrific circumstances.
