The Osun State University Teaching Hospital was on Thursday thrown into pandemonium as fire reportedly broke out at the new Accident and Emergency unit of the hospital.
The cause of the fire which was noticed in the morning could not be ascertained at the time of filling this report but it was gathered that efforts were on to put off the fire.
Patients and workers were said to be running for safety when the fire was sighted.
Some patients were said to be running out of the unit to avoid being caught in the inferno.
The source said, “I can confirm to you that there is a fire outbreak at the new Accident and Emergency unit of UNIOSUNTH this morning.
“We don’t know how the fire started but suddenly, we saw patients running for safety with blood and bandages on their body.”
