Reports say that Manchester United star, Paul Pogba has agreed on a deal worth €8m (£6.8m) a year over the next four seasons with Juventus.

Pogba will officially become a free agent when his current deal with the red devils expires at the end of the month.

The Old Lady have long been regarded as the favourites to re-sign the 29-year old, but the new deal will be a significant reduction on his salary at Old Trafford.

The report claimed that the midfielder will earn a base salary of around £131,000 a week, but he has been on £290,000 a week since penning a new deal at Man United.

Pogba’s four-year contract at Juventus could allegedly be worth in the region of €80m (£68.3m), with the midfielder having the opportunity to boost his salary with bonuses, in addition to receiving a large signing-on fee upon his return to Turin.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also been strongly linked with the France international, who ended the 2021-22 campaign with one goal and nine assists in 27 appearances for Man United in all competitions.

Pogba will leave the 20-time English champions having won the EFL Cup and Europa League, with both trophies coming during Jose Mourinho’s time at the club.

After it was confirmed that he would be leaving Man United at the end of June, the midfielder said that he wants to “feel loved” at his next club.
Pogba said, “Everybody wants to feel loved, everyone needs that in your soul to feel appreciated.

“Everything you do even when you grow up, when you do a good thing you like to hear well done, nice, it’s always been like that even adults we need that.

“It’s always good to feel the work you do is appreciated that you’re doing well that people are happy with yourself.

“I just want the best for me. I’m thinking, putting everything together, take my time, and I’m just looking for the best, I want to play football, be myself always, and enjoy what I do.

“I need to enjoy what I do because otherwise, I cannot perform well. I don’t want to be thinking negatively. We can be losing games, trophies but you have to be happy and enjoy yourself – that’s what I’m looking for.”
