PDP Governors’ Forum to meet over state of the nation, others

Governors who were elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party will today (Monday) meet in Bauchi to deliberate on unemployment and the state of the Nigerian economy.

This disclosure was made in a statement issued on Sunday, in Abuja, by the Director-General, PDP Governors Forum, CID Maduabum.

The statement said that PDP governors would, at the meeting, deliberate on the current state of the nation, and the state of their respective states.

It stated that the Electoral Act Amendment and the Constitution alteration bills pending before the National Assembly, would also be discussed at the meeting.

It read that the meeting would continue to interrogate the Federal Government’s response to insecurity which pervaded the country and proffer workable solutions.

The governors would continue to benchmark and exchange information and ideas on best practices on various aspects of governance in their respective states, it stressed.

The statement read that “The governors will also receive reports of some of the committees working on various aspects of party repositioning, including the e- registration programme of the party.”

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohamed, would be the chief host, while the Chairman of the Forum, Aminu Tambuwal, would preside over the meeting.
