Following the crisis that has erupted in Rivers State, the People’s Democratic Party Governors Forum has summoned an emergency meeting of its members to deliberate on the issue.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday (today) at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
The session is expected to assess the crisis said to have arisen because of a rivalry between the state governor, Similaye Fubara and his erstwhile godfather and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike who is now the minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Fubara was elected under the platform of the main opposition party even though he has not openly associated with the forum since he assumed office.
