A Plateau State document sighted by The Point newspaper shows that the governor of the state, Simon Lalong, his wife and members of their entourage are billed to visit Dubai and the United States and the trip will cost the state government the sum of N73, 686,340.00.
The document with Reference Number S/SGS/T/4/T.1/140 was addressed to the governor by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, on Friday, March 18, 2022.
Approval was granted by the governor on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
Lalong, his wife and 10 other key officers of the Plateau government are expected to attend an economic summit in the United Arabs Emirate; thereafter the governor would embark on a medical tourism to Atalanta Georgia in the United States.
Details of the travel scheduled for Sunday, March 27, 2022 as contained in the SSG’s memo revealed that the following expenses will be incurred by the state government.
