Operatives of the Nigeria Police attached to Area ‘D’ Lagos command have arrested one Godspower Eriemo, a deaf and dumb, who allegedly stole his boss’ car in Mushin, Lagos.
A police source told our correspondent that Godspower, 31, until the incident, was a driver working with one Mrs Blessing Bassey, the owner of the stolen Sienna car at 55, Oduselu Street, Itire area of Lagos.
The suspect was reportedly sent to wash the car when he took the advantage to duplicate the car key, which he later used to make away with the car.
The suspect was later arrested by the police at a residence in Ikorodu after a thorough investigation.
“He was sent to wash the Sienna car with registration number KJA 351CJ by his boss when he used the opportunity to duplicate the car key.
After series of investigation, we arrested him at a residence in Ikorodu where he hid with the car”, the police source revealed.
The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident, saying, the suspect is in police custody. “The case is true and the suspect is in police custody”.
