Police arrest man, 41, for putting his 13-yr-old son in chains over missing N2000

The police in Ogun have arrested a 41-year-old man, Adeoye Oreyomi, for allegedly dehumanizing his 13-year-old son, Demola Oreyomi, by putting him in chains for stealing his N2000.
The suspect, who lives in Sagamu, claimed that Damola stole his N2000 and to punish him for the offence, stripped the boy naked before chaining his two hands and legs and locking the chain with a padlock.
 The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, while confirming the incident, said that neighbours, who became afraid that the boy might die in the process, quickly alerted the police at the Sagamu Divisional Headquarters and the Divisional Police Officer, Superintendent Aduroja Moses, led his men to the scene, where the boy who was found soaked in blood.
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police, said that the boy was rescued and taken to Owokoniran Hospital in Sagamu for medical attention, while the suspect, his father, was arrested.
The PPRO added that the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had ordered that the suspect be charged to court as soon as the investigation was concluded. 
The state police boss equally warned that the command would not tolerate any act of lawlessness from anybody, no matter how highly placed they may be.
