Police arrest man for kidnapping two children in Ogun

The police in Ogun have arrested one Abiodun Joseph, 28, for kidnapping two children, namely, Tobiloba Aleshiloye,12, and 8-year-old Yussuf Kudus.
The suspect, who resides in Sango Ota, allegedly abducted the two children on September 15, 2017 and took them to unknown place from where he started demanding a ransom of N150,000 per child from their parents.
The case was reported to the police at Agbara Division and detectives were detailed to be on the trail of the kidnapper. 
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that technical investigation was conducted and the hideout of the suspect was located in a hotel at the Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State. 
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police, added that the suspect’s hideout was stormed by detectives, who arrested him and rescued the victims unhurt.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the Anti-kidnapping/Cultist Unit of the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department. While the two children have been re-united with their parents, the police boss also appealed to the members of the public to take security of their children seriously in order not to make them victim of kidnappers.
