- Security outfit nabs 25 young men for allegedly engaging in homosexuality
Two security guards employed at Blue Bells High School in Calabar, capital of Cross River State, have been arrested for allegedly threatening underage students with a machete to coerce them into sexual acts.
The suspects, identified as Daniel Asuquo and Saviour Ekong, were said to have been detained at the Airport Police Station, A Division, in Calabar, for the alleged offence.
The duo allegedly used their positions as security guards to intimidate about seven young female students, warning them that they would be killed if they did not comply with their demands.
It was gathered that the students allegedly harassed are in SS1 and SS2. They were said to have been aged between 14 and 16.
The affected students were said to have reported the incidents to the school management, hence, the arrest of Asuquo and Ekong.
While narrating how the men who were supposed to protect them started harassing them, the girls explained that they had endured their threats for a while before they decided to speak up.
According to them, the security guards threatened them with a machete at the security post and warned them against reporting to the school authority.
Meanwhile, Anambra security outfit codenamed Operation Udo Ga-Achi has said it arrested about 25 young men for engaging in homosexuality in the state.
The young men were said to have been nabbed during a birthday party in Akwa where they got involved in immoral acts.
In a video obtained by The Point, the team leader of the security outfit paraded the young men for having carnal knowledge of themselves.
“We discovered these young men having sexual intercourse with themselves in a room. This is part of the immoral acts that we don’t want in Anambra State and we won’t relent until these people are arrested and prosecuted for defiling our space and offending our common sensibility,” he said.
