Police arrest Vampire’s herbalist

In an effort to mop up the late Vampire’s gang members in the South East of Nigeria, operatives of the Intelligent Response Team of the Nigeria Police have arrested his chief herbalist, Iweajuo Gad, at Asoeme Town in Aba, Abia South Local Government Area of Abia state.
Gad was arrested when one of the members of Vampire’s gang earlier apprehended led IRT operatives to the herbalist’s abode.
The herbalist, according to a police source, had headed the group of herbalists that provided spiritual backup for the kidnap group during their reign of terror in the country.
The 55-year-old suspect confessed to the police that he had given bullet repelling and disappearing charms to Vampire and his gang members before their reign was ended by the police.
“IRT Operatives arrested one Iweajuo Gad, 55Years from Asoeme Town in Aba Abia South LGA Abia state. Suspect is the chief herbalist of Vampire and many other groups of armed robbers and kidnappers.
“One of the Vampire gang members already arrested led detectives to the Shrine were the herbalist was arrested. Suspect confessed to have given several bullet repelling charms and disappearance charms to Vampire and his gang members. He further confessed that he led three herbalists to perform special rituals to enhance Vampire’s rescue from High Court Owerri as names of seven Prisons Service Officers were brought to him by Vampire’s brother to perfect the rituals that will disorganise and destabilise the officers during the rescue operation,” a police source said.
It was also gathered that N200, 000 was given to the herbalist and his group for the ritual and a week after the successful rescue of the kidnap kingpin, Vampire sent him additional N500,000.
