Police confirm killing of man in Osun by night guard, arrest three suspects

A 40-year-old man, Mohammed Badmus has been shot dead by a night guard attached to a firm, Ibuowo Estate, Okinni in Egbedore Local Governsment area of Osun State.

Badmus was allegedly shot dead by a night guard identified as Moshood Rasaq while working at the firm.

The Point gathered that the deceased was killed in the early hours of Saturday with a dane gun.

It was learnt that the corpse of deceased has been deposited at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital morgue, Osogbo for autopsy.

Confirming the incident, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola said one Babatunde Olumide, the chairman of Ibuowo Estate Okinni reported the incident to Dada Estate Divisional Police Headquarters in Osogbo.

Opalola stressed that the suspect alongside two other night guards have been arrested and that the dane gun used in shooting the victim was recovered.

She said the case has been transfered to SCID for further investigations.
