Police nab woman for threatening UNILAG student gang-raped by 8 students, blind mother

Policemen attached to the Anti- Kidnapping Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, led by Bulus Musa (SP), have arrested a woman for reportedly threatening the life of a student of the University of Lagos and her blind mother.

The men of the unit were said to have trailed and arrested the accused person at her residence.

The woman was said to be helping the police with useful information on reasons for the threat to the lives of the rape victim and her blind mother.

A police source attached to the Anti- Kidnapping Unit, who pleaded anonymity, said the arrested woman would assist the police in apprehending others behind the incident.

The lives of the blind woman and her undergraduate daughter, who was gang-raped by eight students of the university, were said to have been threatened by someone allegedly making strange telephone calls to the rape victim for no clear reason in recent time.
