Qualities I seek in a man? I’m not rigid – Empress Njamah

Having achieved so much in the movie industry, one thing still missing in the life of Empress Njamah is being married. Even though she does not look her age, time is ticking fast for the actress, who had a three-day birthday party last month.
However, in a recent chat with The Point, Njamah insisted that there was no time frame to getting married. “I’m sure there is no time frame to getting married, but I do know that once I find my life partner, I would walk down with him and start my family. I am not under any form of pressure to settle down,” she told The Point.
Some years ago, she was in a relationship with singer, Timaya, but it ended badly. Since then, she had decided to keep her relationships away from the public. Much as she desires
a matured man, Njamah cannot really tell the qualities she likes in a man since she is not God.
She said, “Being human, I would be compatible with any man who is matured enough to understand me and the nature of my job. The man must love me for who I am and respect me.”
In recent times, there have been a lot of new faces gracing the screen in Nollywood, while the old names barely get mentioned. But Njamah sees no wrong in the development. For her, letting them get all the roles does not mean actresses like her have been idle.
She explained, “Nollywood is growing every day and we need to give the upcoming ones room to explore and showcase their talents. This would not only help them but make them more confident.”

And if there is anything Njamah desires to be remembered for, it is her charity works. Taking care of the less privileged has been something that delights her. This explains why she tries to celebrate with them every year. She said, “For my last birthday in November,
I had a three-day celebration. First, I had a celebration with the Internally Displaced People in their camp in Abuja, where we gave food and clothes.
“On the second day, I had a celebration with women on wheelchairs and some physicallychallenged people in Abuja as well. I gave out wheel-chairs and distributed food items to the women.
“On the final day, I had a birthday dinner with my family, friends and the team of House of Empress Njamah Foundation. If I am only remembered for my charity works, then
I am fulfilled.”
