Victor Osimhen and his Napoli teammates did not celebrate their Serie A title last Sunday as they dropped two points against Salernitana at home following a 1-1 draw.
The Partenoepei needed a win against Salernitana to claim their first Scudetto in 33 years.
And they took the path very well when Mathias Olivera scored in the 62nd minute.
Luciano Spaletti’s men were heading to the long-awaited moment with their fans celebrating already in the stands.
However, Senegal international Boulaye Dia netted the equalizer for Salernitana six minutes prior to the kick-off.
Napoli concedes a disappointing 1-1 draw and will have to wait until Thursday and their trip to Udinese before a potential title celebration.
