Saraki boys plan to pull down Pillars after Eid al-Fitr break

When the going gets tough, only the tough get going and the players of Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, better known as ABS are planning to turn the heat against Kano Pillars Football Club when they meet on Wednesday shortly after the Eid alFitr break in the Nigeria Professional Football League duel in Ilorin.

The ABS boys who were subdued 0-2 by Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan recently, will prepare to fight like wounded Lions in front of their teeming fans.

ABS FC skipper, Chinedu Ajanah, said his team will definitely rise up to the billing against the equally determined side from Kano. He said he had informed his teammates to get over their match and forge ahead in the series.

“We should not continue to cry over spilt milk. The lose against Shooting Stars is regrettable and we should not continue to think about it. Let’s face the next match against Pillars. I know it is not going to be easy but we have the players who are ready to fight to the end. Pillars are expected to be all out for the maximum points at stake, but we will always be at our best to rattle them,”he said.

He said he was excited that the fasting period has ended and everybody in the team will be physically fit enough to fight on the pitch.

“I am happy that we will have one hundred percent concentration because no one will complain about fasting. We know it has affected the morale in camp but there was nothing we could do about it. At least, we are spiritually lifted and better,”he said.
