The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Amaechi Nwoha as Commissioner representing the South-East in the National Assembly Service Commission.

This was contained in a statement issued by Ezrel Tabiowo, Special Assistant on Press to the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, on Wednesday.

Nwoha’s confirmation came after the consideration of a report by the Committee on Establishment and Public Service.

Senator Smart Adeyemi, representing Kogi West presented the report on behalf of the Committee Chairman, Senator Ibrahim Shakarau, representing Kano Central.

On the nomination, Adeyemi said that Nwoha satisfied the requirement of Section 4 of the National Assembly Service Commission as amended.

He stated that the antecedents of the new NASC Commissioner as a legislator in the Imo State House of Assembly made him suitable and competent for the appointment.
