Subscribers hail launch of Glo’s 4G LTE network

Barely one week after next generation network, Globacom, launched 4G Long Term Evolution network, it has received accolades from subscribers, who have commended the telecom giant for taking broadband mobile services to the next level.
An Information and Technology engineer, Mr. John Aderoju, described the speed of the new service as phenomenal, adding that “4G is a lovely experience. The speed is phenomenal and the indoor penetration is excellent. I have 4G signal in every part of my house. I was also among the first to upgrade my other line to 4G on another network because the indoor penetration of the old SIM was poor and the phone only worked best near the front windows”.

“The speed is phenomenal and the indoor penetration is excellent. I have 4G signal in every part of my house”

Also speaking on the acceleration of 4G, an accountant, Mr. Abiodun Akindele, explained that “this is the time to put my 4G phone to work. I have had a 4G phone for a while now. I was using it with 3G services. I simply purchased a 4G SIM to enable me optimise the capacity of the phone, so to speak. The difference is clear, I tell you. My videos download without any delay. Glo has done very well with this one.”
The company had said at the launching of the service recently that everyone from governments to academic institutions, students, corporate institutions and small scale enterprises would benefit from the paradigm shift.
The Head, Marketing, Globacom, Mr. John Awe, said the new service is already working across Lagos, Port Harcourt – Aba Road, Trans Amadi, Diobu, Old GRA and UNIPort, Warri, Eket and Benin, Abuja – Maitama, Wuse, Asokoro, Garki/Central Business District and Airport Road and Jos, Yola – ABTI and Zaria – ABU among others.
