Wilfred Ndidi has continued to extend his record as the Nigerian player with the most appearances for Leicester City. The Nath Boys Academy graduate reached a milestone of 300 appearances for the Foxes during a 3-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League clash at the Molineux Stadium at the weekend.
Wolves extended their winning streak in the Premier League to six matches, thanks to goals from Matheus Cunha, Jorgen Strand Larsen and Rodrigo Gomes.
Signed from Belgian team Racing Genk in January 2017, Ndidi made his first appearance for Leicester City in a Premier League clash against Chelsea on January 14, 2017.
A breakdown of his 300 appearances for the Foxes shows that 217 were in the Premier League, 32 in the Championship, 18 in the FA Cup, 16 in the Carabao Cup, 8 in the Europa League, 4 each in the UEFA Champions League and Conference League and one in the Community Shield.
Ndidi has tallied 18 goals and 21 assists for Leicester City, with his standout season coming in 2023–2024 when he recorded 12 goal contributions in 36 appearances across all competitions.
He has won the Community Shield, FA Cup and EFL Championship as a Leicester City player.
With Leicester heading back to the Championship, speculation over Ndidi’s future is set to grab the spotlight this summer, much like it did after last season.
The 28-year-old has a contract with Leicester City until June 30, 2027.
