Some men suspected to be cultists have killed a middle-aged man in Osogbo, capital of Osun State.
The victim, said to be a member of a secret confraternity, was hacked to death close to his family house at the Owode-Igbona area in Osogbo on Thursday.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that some men who wielded axes, cutlasses and guns, stormed the area and started attacking their target.
Residents of the area were said to have scampered for safety on sighting the fierce-looking attackers.
After about a few minutes of operating in the area, the hoodlums were said to have left after beheading the victim.
Family members of the victim were said to have wept profusely after sighting the corpse of the deceased.
