Teacher who allegedly killed Abuja girlfriend remanded in Kuje prison

A High Court sitting in Kwali, Abuja, on Monday, ordered the remand of a 31-year-old teacher, Tochukwu Christian Edeh, for alleged murder.

Edeh was accused of killing his 49 years old girlfriend after he hit her with pestle in the deceased’s house in the Federal Capital Territory last year October.

The Commissioner of Police in the FCT, Tunji Disu had led the IRT Intelligence team to Port Harcourt, Rivers State where Edeh was arrested in his new girlfriend’s house where he was reportedly hiding.

Justice J. A. Aina of the Kwali High Court ordered that Edeh be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre.

The matter was adjourned till May 25, 2023 for continuation of hearing.

Edeh had pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of culpable homicide slammed against him.
