Tina Mba, Kiki Omeili star in Omoye

Veteran actress, Tina Mba, Kiki Omeili and Stan Nze have made great and superlative appearances in a thought-provoking movie on domestic violence, entitled, ‘Omoye’, which was premiered on Sunday October 22 at Genesis Cinema in Lekki, Lagos. The premier witnessed a massive turn-out of movie buffs, especially the female gender, which the movie focused on.
The movie was released to the cinemas on Friday, October 27, across the nation and the cinemas have been agog as lovers of movie throng the cinemas to watch the trailer flick. The movie also features popular Nigerian actors like Rotimi Salami, Greg Ojefua, Olarotimi Fakunle, Omobola Akinde, and Mariana Dike. It was shot in the ghetto town of Ajegunle, Lagos, and was written and directed by Uche Chukwu, produced by AMVCA 2017 winner, Rotimi Salami, and sponsored by Recare, makers of Natures Gentle Touch.
“Omoye” is a riveting tale of a hardworking and relentless young lady, who unfortunately gets into a toxic relationship with a man that never takes responsibility for anything. With abuse and violence intensifying, she becomes emotionally and mentally drained, but still won’t give up on her marriage. For the record and a deep departure from most movies of contemporary nature, as tragic and fear-gripping as it is, it’s also spiced with comic and hilarious scenes, which makes it an all-round and
excellent job by the crew and actors in the movie, not forgetting the writer and producer.
