President Bola Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Imam Kashim Imam to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.

His spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement on Thursday that the President’s withdrawal of the nomination is with immediate effect.

However, he said all other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive.

The President had on Friday reconstituted the governing board and management team of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency for a renewable term of four years.

The appointment came nearly four months after the President dissolved the boards of all Federal Government parastatals, agencies, institutions and government-owned companies.

The Chairman of FERMA Board is Engr. Imam Ibrahim Kashim Imam and the Managing Director is Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi.

According to him, the appointment is for a renewable term of four (4) years, in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.
