Tinubu meets Brazil’s president in Ethiopia

President Bola Tinubu met with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, on the sidelines of the African Union General Assembly in Ethopia.

According to a post on the official X handle of the President on Sunday, both leaders discussed ways to enhance trade, commercial and cultural relations between Nigeria and Brazil.

The caption read, “President Bola Tinubu had a bilateral meeting with the President of Brazil, where both leaders discussed ways to enhance trade, commercial and cultural relations between Nigeria and Brazil including increasing trade volumes, investing in agriculture and aviation, and establishing direct flights between Nigeria and Brazil to promote mutual growth and trade.”

President Tinubu departed Nigeria on Thursday for Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, to participate in the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government.

During the summit, Tinubu was named the AU Champion for Human Resources for Health and Community Health Delivery Partnership.

The President also stated that Nigeria is ready to host the African Central Bank in 2028 according to the vision of the Abuja Treaty.
