President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Kenny Anuwe as the Chief Executive Officer of the FGN Power Company Limited.

He also reappointed the Company’s Secretary and Legal Advisor, Mammam Lawal, alongside three others as Technical, Commercial, and Financial Officers.

They include Ebenezer Fapohunda as Chief Technical Officer, Babatunde Oniru as Chief Commercial Officer, and Julius Olabiyi as Chief Financial Officer.

The new appointments are due to “the critical role of power supply in driving enterprise and industrial development, and as a part of comprehensive efforts to reform the power sector and ensure energy security for all Nigerians,” read a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

According to Ngelale, President Tinubu expects the new appointees to “work assiduously to realise the core objectives of the Presidential Power Initiative in close collaboration with Siemens Energy through a holistic overhaul, modernisation, and expansion of the national grid and other critical measures to ensure the growth of the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry.”
