In a colorful and culturally rich ceremony held in Enugu State, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, was conferred with a new chieftaincy title: Ugosimba 1 of Enugu.

The title, which translates to “Jewel of Women Empowerment,” was bestowed upon her in recognition of her unwavering commitment to uplifting women across the country.

Mrs Tinubu has long been an advocate for women’s rights and empowerment. Through her Renewed Hope Initiative, she has launched several programmes aimed at supporting women-owned businesses, promoting girls’ education, and providing healthcare and social support to vulnerable groups.

It was gathered that the chieftaincy title of Ugosimba is not just symbolic, it is a recognition of action.

By honouring her, the people of Enugu highlight the importance of leadership that listens, serves, and uplifts.
