US backs Nigerian secondary schools on robotic education

The United States of America has expressed its readiness to support secondary schools in Nigeria on the acquisition of robotic education skills.
The US said that its decision to back Nigerian schools in this regard was borne out of the existing long ties between the two countries.
The Public Affairs Officer, United States Consulate General, Lagos, Mrs. Darcy Zotter, said this at the formal inauguration of coding clubs in public and private secondary schools across Ogun State, held at the Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba.
Zotter noted that robotic education was part of the US support for science and technology, especially concerning Engineering and Mathematics subjects in secondary schools.
“Robotic education is part of our support for science and technology in Engineering and Mathematics education in Nigeria. We strongly believe that if you get involved in robotic education, which is in compliance with all STEM fields, hopefully, that would encourage you to continue in STEM,” she said.
