Why Rohr is after Chelsea’s Aina

Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has sensationally revealed why he may not let go Chelsea Football Club’s discovery, Temitayo Ola Aina.

The Chelsea star has been penciled down to play for Nigeria in a new build-up of Super Eagles towards qualifying for the FIFA 2018 World Cup.

“When you watch Aina, the first thing that you will notice – and the reason your eyes are drawn to him out of all the players on the pitch – is his ability to burst forward.

He has outstanding physical attributes, including above-average height for his position, core strength, long legs and a controlled acceleration to die for, make for an exciting, bustling style,” Rohr described the Nigerian.

In March 2015, Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Youth League on the way to securing the European title, and one of the standout players was Aina.

Time and again, he soared past Los Colchoneros’ left-sided duet of Tete Morente and Lucas Hernandez – and you’ll recognise the latter as a player, who started both legs of Atletico’s Champions’ League quarter-final against Barcelona.

Chelsea are just seven wins away from being confirmed Premier League champions, as they welcome London rivals, Crystal Palace FC to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Antonio Conte’s Blues lead Tottenham by 10 points with just 10 games remaining, and seven victories will ensure the Italian coach lifts the title in his debut season in England.
