Xmas: Police reinforce ban on fireworks in Adamawa

The ban on fireworks during the yuletide period has been reinforced across the state by the police in Adamawa State.
The police issued the warning in a statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Othman Abubakar, on Wednesday in Yola.
Abubakar noted that the callous attitude may cause not only distractions to the general public but may also constitute a security threat and other environmental hazards.
While listing the banned items, which include knockouts and other explosives, the
police spokesman, however, advised parents and guardians to caution their wards as the command would not spare anyone caught selling or using fireworks.
