Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has condemned the killing of Olajide, younger brother to former Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.

Olajide was killed on Saturday in Okada, Edo State.

The governor, in a condolences message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu, commiserated with the Sowore family, stating that the death of Olajide was, indeed, a painful one.

Bello was quoted in the statement as saying that the evil men must be brought to book as “no life should be lost in such a barbaric manner.”

The statement lauded the initiative of the deceased, a student of Pharmacy at the Igbinedion University, Okada, for making such a remarkable feat at that age.

Describing him as an inspiration and an example of a determined individual, it prayed for God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

It also urged security operatives not to leave any stone unturned to apprehend those behind the act.
