ADVAN inaugurates committees, implements strategies for increased membership value

The Advertisers Association of Nigeria has inaugurated some members of its working committees, comprising stakeholders in different fields.

At the inauguration, the association said the committee will be the engine room for the association’s programmes for the next two
years.

The committees inaugurated include the Public Sector, Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy, Membership and Value, Data Insight and Content, and Education and Capacity Building Committees.

The first Vice President of the ADVAN, Mr. Wasiu Abiola, while speaking on the agenda of the committees, said; “The committees will drive the association’s agenda of creating an empowered future in Marketing Communications (Marcomms) today for advertisers and the industry as a whole.”

Abiola added: “The committees will work with the Executive Council of the association to provide and implement strategies for increased membership value, strategic stakeholder engagement, as well as source for the most relevant data to aid effective marketing
planning.” 

The Chairperson of the Education and Capacity Development Committee, Mr. Benson Evbuomwan, while speaking on the focus of the committee,  said, “A key focus for my committee will be to provide needed education for marketing professionals not just in the marcomms field, but rather a holistic capacity development approach that will help ADVAN members gather the right skills to function in any capacity of a C-level Executive and even
beyond.”
