PDP Reps ticket: Lady Osunbor woos party leaders, assures on inclusive representation

As the race for political relevance gradually swings across the democratic space in Edo State, a frontliner of the Peoples Democratic Party, Lady Uwa Osunbor, has assured leaders of the party’s participatory politics and dividends of democracy, if given the sole mandate.

She gave the assurance in Igbanke, Orhiomwon Local Government, while speaking to leaders and delegates to seek their support for her campaign move for the House of Representatives of Orhiomwon-Uhunmwode Constituency seat in the 2019 election.

Lady Osunbor, who was received by leaders of the party across the wards, lamented how successive representation cut across political divides have ditched development for private
gains.

Although she expressed confidence in her ability to attract investors to develop her people,  she said she was in town to solicit for mass support in clinching the sole nomination ahead of the party primaries.

She said,” As a woman I am capable of delivering. You will notice that recently, because of my interest to contest the position, other party members have defected to PDP. Let me assure you of dividends of democracy and true representation with your support.

“I am a mother and knows when there are no foods in the house. I want to leave a mark in my constituency as Queen Idia did in the history of Edo people. I believe in hard work not handout.”

She, however, enjoined members of the party to continue to embrace peace and seek for those who truly represent the interest of the people and
party.
