Ahead of 2023, PDP Zoning Committee for inauguration Thursday

As the May 28 Presidential Convention of the People’s Democratic Party draws closer, plans are in full gear for the inauguration of the party’s 37-member zoning committee.

The committee was set up at the end of the 95th National Executive Committee meeting of the party and would, among other things, recommend to the party the viability and importance of zoning to the party’s quest to return to power in 2023, or not.

According to a statement released by the party, the committee would be inaugurated on Thursday, March 24, 2022, by 11:00am at NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

Those to serve in the committee include Mao Ohuabunwa (Abia), Boni Haruna (Adamawa), Emmanuel Ibokessien (Akwa Ibom), A.B.C. Nwosu (Anambra), Abdul Ahmed Ningi (Bauchi), Boyelayefa Debekeme (Bayelsa), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Sanusi Daggash (Borno), Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Ndudi Elumelu (Delta), Franklin Nchita Ogbuewu (Ebonyi), Tom Ikimi (Edo), Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Mohammed Adulrahman (F T), Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (Gombe), Fidelis Izuchukwu (Imo), Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Ahmed Makarfi (Kaduna), Aminu Wali (Kano) and Ibrahim Shehu Shema (Katsina).

Others are Kabiru Tanimu (kebbi), Ibrahim Idris (Kogi), Abubakar Baraje (Kwara), Olabode George (Lagos), Mike Abdul (Nasarawa), Jerry Gana (Niger), Daisi Akintan (Ogun), Omotayo Dairo (Ondo), Adewale Oladipo (osun), Ayoola Agboola (Oyo), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Austin Opara (Rivers), Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto), Darius Ishaku (Taraba), Adamu Waziri (Yobe), Mahadi Gusau (Zamfara).

The party had also announced that the committee was given two weeks to submit its report for consideration.
