Aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress from Bauchi State have called for the sack the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.

The aggrieved party members premised their call on his alleged anti party activities which, they said, were capable of depriving the party of victory in the 2023 general elections.

Maigari Ishaku, who addressed the media on behalf of the aggrieved stakeholders at the Buhari House national secretariat of the APC on Thursday, accused the Minister of undermining the party’s procedures of conducting elections by compelling an imposter on party members.

“Two weeks ago, we were here at the national secretariat to present a paper against the happenings in Bauchi State, a development that doesn’t go well with the majority of the masses in Bauchi State, and a development that will bring a setback and, in fact, the downfall of the APC come 2023 in the general elections.

“We are all aware that APC was the government in office under Governor M.A Abubakar and we knew what happened in 2019 before the general elections. There was a serious bickering between the APC. In fact, they were sheep but inwardly ravenous wolves. They wear clothes of sheep but they were not sheep. They wear clothes of APC indirectly they are PDP. These people contributed to the downfall of APC in that election.

“They brought into power Bala Muhammad, yet, we have not learned our lesson. This same person in the person of Adamu Adamu, Minister of Education, has connived and imposed a chairman on the Bauchi State chapter of our great party. This very chairman is not in any way in conformity with APC Bauchi. This development has made APC Bauchi to be neglected,” Ishaku said.

He further claimed that the APC Stakeholders in Bauchi State were not pleased with the attendant crises in the party and therefore, prayed that Mai Mala Buni should intervene.

He said, “Because Mai Mala Buni stood for honesty, his legacy cannot be undermined. He was single-handedly nominated to become the APC caretaker chairman; first thing that has ever happened in Nigeria for a sitting governor to hold that position.

“Time has come for nobody to sit on the fence; you are either here or there and you have to declare your mind, you have to declare your support. What we want the caretaker committee to do is to help us and install the elected person, the person that won the election, Alhaji Sanusi Aliyu Kunde.”
